Week twenty-two.

Thirty-two miles set for the week.

I fell four miles short from my goal of thirty for the week.

So…

Day 147: 9 miles (1:16:59)

I ran the nine miles along my normal seven mile route down Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. It was a great morning for a run. I am pretty happy with the time as well.

Day 149: 5 miles (45:58)

The run went well as I posted an average time I think.

Day 150: 7 miles (?::)

Game one of the World Series.

Phillies vs. Rays. Although I don´t have any real stake in watching as the Dodgers took care of the Cubs, or rather, the Cubs imploded again, it´ts still something I think I should do as I am a fan of the game.

I took off on the run earlier than I would have. I was running north on 90th and I felt a bit parched. As I was crossing Mountain View I reached behind me and took a water bottle from my Nike hydration belt when (I bet you have no idea what I´m going to say next do you?)…my right ankle caught the edge of the sidewalk, twisting my ankle and tossing my water bottle forward as my body crumpled to the ground.

Again.

I gathered myself up and started walking back the same direction from whence I came. I called Sarah to come pick me up. Ethan picked-up and was great giving the phone straight to Mom.

I told him it was an emergency and he went straight to her, not freaking out or asking questions. I was quite happy about that.

Sarah asked if I got hit by a car as I told her I was hurt pretty bad.

I told her no but that she need to pick me up. As I walked hobbled down Mountain View I gave her directions. I stopped at the bus stop near the intersection of 92nd and Mountain View as I only had to wait a minute or two.

When we got home, I rested on the ground and iced my weakened joint.

So…now what?

How long will I be out of commission this time? One week? Two weeks?

I have less than three months until the marathon. Am I going to have to start over completely? How much endurance will I retain?

Weekly summary

I sprained my stupid ankle again.
