Week 21

We we´re looking for thirty miles this week.

It´s been two full weeks since I last made my goal for that week.

Day 140: 9 miles (1:25:53)

We upped the ante this week by one mile, bringing the long run to nine miles.

I ran down Pima to Rose Ln and back. It went by rather quickly. Just under a 10-min/mile pace.

I used Google Maps to find a good “loop” and found this one. Little did I know that Rose was behind a brick wall that ran along Pima for about a half mile. I felt like I was running down this back alley. It´s not a big deal but based off the map itself it caught me by surprise.

Day 142: 6 miles (53:00)

Fifty-three minutes on the nose.

I was supposed to run five but I “misremembered” my daily requirement and ran six.

No matter. I ran it under a 9-min/mile pace which I am quite content with.

Day 143: 6 miles (1:01:02)

That kinda stunk.

After running a blistering time the day before I posted a +10-min/mile pace rendering a post hour time for my six mile run.

A little bummed about that.

Day 146: 4 miles (52:39)

I was scheduled to run six on Thursday and four on Saturday.

Thursday didn´t happen so I ran a little extra on Saturday to make up the difference. However, I ran an absolutely terrible time running a +10-min/mile. I ran first thing in the morning with a little bit of heat but nothing that should excuse that type of performance.

Weekly summary

Goal not met…again.

I missed my run on Thursday which jacked-up the week. I tried to make up for it by running a mile extra on Saturday but ran a horrible time.
